where could the service connector be?

I currently have two questions. The first question where is the service connector be On my 98 Civic hatchback if its not by the ECU under the dash on the passenger's side. I have used this many times on my last hatch, so I am familiar on the standard placement, as well as what it looks like, and its definately not where its supposed to be. Any ideas?
Also the second question is the reason I have to find it is because my H22 in my hatch wont idle properly anymore. It surges from 1000 RPM to 1600 RPM. There are no check engine lights whatsoever. It only happened after I raced a 260 WHP SRT-4 Neon a few times. Then after that she wouldnt idle right. She was perfect before that. My current mods are a i/e/VAFC, Spoon chipped ECU. BTW the VAFC still reads a TPS signal as well as a MAP sensor signal (so I would think these sensors are working correctly, atleast they appear to be). The only thing I could think of that would not kick a check engine light would be the ECT switch. Any thoughts? Ideas? Thanks.

any idea where exactly under the drivers side? Its not anywhere noticeable that I can see. I am about to tear my dash apart looking for it. Any help would be great.

Should be right near the kick panel. Top closer to the door side...

If not pull out the ash tray and look behind there. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif
