looks like oc civic's pic
Its just an aftermarket radio installation piece.
You can get it at best buy/circuit city/etc for under $8. If you can't find it, tell them youre installing an aftermarket stereo in your civic and need the bezel

At circuit city we call it a "dash kit" just ask for one of those and theyll get you one. Theyre like 8 bucks.

why would it be easier? truth is money doesn't grow on trees (unless you live where i live) and he would have to work for that money somehow.... and that extra money to buy it form the dealor would mean working. and maybe even working hard. so thats not easier. I would just go to an outlet store (Best Buy, CC, *K-mart!*) and get one.

Ok listen... The piece he needs is the radio DASH KIT. It is not something that you can get at a honda dealership because anything from honda does not need it. An oem radio, tape or cd player that comes from honda fits perfectly in to that spot. The dash kit is to make universal products like an alpine or pioneer deck fit in to that area better. All the dash kit does is fills is that extra space to either side of the aftermarket deck. So no its not something you can go from the dealership. You have to go to a circuit city or best buy and get one. Like i said theyre 8 bucks and they normally always have the ones for hondas in stock.

You CANNOT BUY THAT PART AT A DEALERSHIP. The OEM radio is a bit wider and has a strange shaped end on the left side that fills the entire DIN slot in the dash. When you install an aftermarket stereo, you get a DASK kit that fills in the odd shaped gap on the left, as well as the gap on the right, and something you will need to buy either online or at your local car audio supplier.

Ask for a dash kit for your 199X Honda Civic, should cost anywhere from 8-20 dollars.

LOL, I should have read Josh's post before I typed this, I just re-typed what he said but with different words.

If your going to put a radio in there you dont need a kit to do so and it looks fine without it, heres some pics of mine and the change pocket that I found at the junkyard.

And you can buy the pocket at Honda if hey can figure out what it came out of

What wrong with the fitment. The radio fits just fine and looks fine too. If you used a dash kit in your car, please post some pics so I can compare.

As for the size of the pictures, i didnt resize them so it would be easier to see what I was talking about.

As you can see on the left side i needed mine to fit in there otherwise it doesnt actually fit it correctly. Each company makes different size units so some may fit like that pioneer and some may be way off like my alpine. If you call up a circuit city and have an idea of what you want , just ask if the have a dash kit for that brand. We have a book there that lists all the cars by model and year so its easy to figure out. Just call and ask and it should be easy to figure out.

Wow, this tread got outta control fast, I will check out best buy, I was pretty sure it was an aftermarket part. Thanks for the info!

UPDATE: Yup, Best Buy for like $17, I got raped but to me it was worth it, and that is all that matters, hell maybe I will just tell everyone it is JDM too .
