Where can I buy oem cat?
I searched some but couldn't find anything even though I sure this has been covered before. I need a oem cat so I wanted to know where the cheapest place other than ebay to get it. Thanks for the help.

and this one but needs welding. Cheap!

OEM means the same part sold by the dealership. An example is Exedy clutches - Exedy makes clutches and sells them both to honda, who resells them to you, and directly.
Why do you need a new, OEM cat? Dealership may be expensive, but that may be your only choice.

Re: Where can I buy oem cat? (fdavie)
thanks that clears that up for me. I supposable need a new oem cat to lower my nox. I've checked and replaced so many things. I have replaced the cat a couple of times with a old stock cat and a new high flow cat. I'm being told that the oem will show a big difference. the only reason why i didn't put a new oem on before is because at the dealer they charge $900 for it. the only thing besides the cat that could be a problem is i have headers and 2.5 inch exhaust piping which i plan to make stock. so with all that said i would really not like to spend almost a grand on a cat. anybody know what company makes honda cats?

Why is it illegal for a junk yard to sell a stock cat? I can get em at any junk yard in my area...

I think this is in every state but it could be just CA. I don't know the exact reason but they have to have paper work of where it came from when it was taken off. its even illegal to have it installed. not everybody fallows this though.

If the used one didn't work I doubt a new OEM cat is going to fix your problem. OEM means 'Original Equipment Manufacturers'. In other words stock. Have you tried the OEM cat from a B18?

I put in a old stock cat but because its old they say its not working correctly. i could look around and find another one and cross my fingers but i don't want to waste any more money on stupid cats.

well the used one had 140,000 miles on it so it could very well be bad. but yea it might not do much. the used one was from an integra.

What exactly is nox? and why do you need a OEM cat to reduce it?

Re: Where can I buy oem cat? (spivt11)
I think its caused by high temps. A oem cat has more of some type of metal in it which filters it.
