where to buy friction modifed syncromesh?
cant find it on the internet, and the gm dealership only has syncromesh, they said they have never heard of the friction modifed? thanks to anyone with info

call up any GM dealer and ask if they have this part # in stock
part # 12377916
If they do, then they have what you need, if they don't keep callin till you find one with it in stock. Don't ask for it by name (GM syncromesh friction modified)...just use the part number.

do you have a limited slip dif?
As far as I've read here you ONLY use the FM synchromesh if you have an lsd.
Someone feel free to contradict me if they know otherwise.

I put it in everything i have worked on dude never had a problem with an open dif or LSD's
