When to rebuild a motor?
Hey guys i'm just wondering, is there ever a recommended time to rebuild a motor (besides when something severe happens and the motor has to come apart anyways).
I was just wondering because i'm about to buy a 92 B18A1. I know hondas are pretty much solid if maintained but is it likely that a motor with 150k+(just guessing) on it will mess up?

just like you said, if it was taken care of, you should be fine. depends on the condition for the motor, and what you are looking to get out of the motor. friend has a 92 integ, 220,000 miles, and still running strong.

As long as it isn't leaking or burning oil and the compression test comes out fine, it doesn't matter how old or how many miles.
"If it ain't broke...." ya know.
