A/C system on 94 Honda Civic ex
Are there two different A/C systems for a 94 Honda Civic? This is kind of a long story, so I will try to keep it brief.
Bought a 94 Honda Civic ex that had the A/C removed. I bought a used A/C setup from a guy that was supposed to come with all lines, compressor, condensor, fan, drier etc. Went to install the items, ran all the A/C lines and the two lines going to the compressor didn't fit???? OK, fine got a decent deal for the compressor, condenser, and fan.
I then ordered all new A/C lines from Honda for the Hadsy A/C compressor. I go to install the new A/C lines and guess what, now the new lines don't fit the evaportor!!!!!!!! This frickin sucks. So I guess now I need to purchase a new A/C evaportor and put that in to fit the new A/C lines etc. This just turned into one pain in the ****.
So I guess my question is, what A/C evaporator do I order???? It was hard enough to find a Hadsy A/C compressor.

So is the Hadsy Compressor for a R12 system and the Sanden for the 134? If this is the case, Honday totally screwed up and gave me the lines for a 92-93 civic with R12 instead of lines for a 94 which is what I asked for. This has just turned into a royal cluster.

Re: A/C system on 94 Honda Civic ex (capone05)
yea if Im not mistaken either 92-93 were R-12 and the other for 94-95. I got a 94 civic bought all my lines, conden. and fan from some one who had a 94-95 civic. I did research before I looked for my lines and found that only 94-95 civics had it. I found like 2-3 93's in the junkyard that didnt have r-12 but they were produced like 08/93. Jus tell them at honda to swap out the lines for you. Buy a new drier as well, never use an old one, they're only a few bux anyways. I seen some evaporator lines being sold on ebay for $40 inculding shipping. And if you have a B-swap in there you can use your Sanden compressor with the ac bracket from a crv(p7j) or a del sol vtec(p54).
