You better have the 2000 SI knuckles assembly to make it work. Other wise shock assemblies will bolt right on.

There may be an issue with the mounting of the upper A arms......there are some differences, but it will go on. Provided you have both the old and new suspension/brake set up, you can do it.....very straight forward.

What pads are you going to run? I use Axxis ultimates from Cobalt Friction. Talk to Andie Lin (cobalt) in the Roadrace/Auto-X forum, or go to http://www.cobaltfriction.com/.

im interested in changing my brakes also. whats the difference between switching a 2000 si setup as compared to a 94+ gsr brake setup? whats the price of a project like this? i got a 92 hb by the way

you will have to modify the fork on the rear shocks to fit on 96-00 civics. I swapped my Kyb's with a buddies 92-95 setup and we had to modify both. You have to bend the forks or shave the bushings or something. Can't remember which model is which.

i don't think the 2000 si cylinder brake lines will match up with your car, i think the integra RS one is what everyone uses on eg's. MAKE SURE YOUR TRAILING ARMS AREN'T BENT LIKE MINE WERE!

For the MC, you can use the stock 13/16 or 3/4 one, but the larger 15/16 will give better feel and reduce the sponginess. That's on my to-do list, but I've had the brakes swap for a couple of years. As someone else said, the Civic Si MC is plumbed for ABS, which you want to avoid reflaring everything for. Tom (B18C5-EH2) did a write up for the 15/16 MC upgrade that is bolt-on, no reflaring.

Black rotors? Do you mean the hats? Just spray them (mask off the braking surface) with hi temp paint. I did that too, as I was too cheap to buy shiny new rotors that would get fubar'd fast. I had cross-drilled and black cadmium coated rotors once, and they still rusted.

If you can afford it, I hear the fastbrakes upgrade is a nice set up....

No, you don't need the integra brake lines. Here's the write up from Tom (B18C5-EH2)...

Well for all of you guys running 4-wheel discs that need a bigger-than-stock 13/16ths M/C, there is a true bolt-in replacement for sure.

I heard a rumor that a certain 15/16ths m/c just bolted up, and it's true. I ordered one the other day and my shop put on ein a 1993 Cx hatch. It's a:

1991 Honda Civic EX 4-door master cylinder.

The part number from Honda is 46100-SH4-A11. They probably won't stock it, but it only took me one full day to get the one I ordered.

This m/c bolted right up to the stock Civic booster, so no more trying to find an Integra booster and m/c combo!

The only thing is that I cannot say which stops better - my Integra RS booster and m/c combo, or the 1991 EX with stock Civic booster because the CX we did the EX m/c on still had stock brakes to be upgraded with all Integra discs later.

The 1991 EX m/c is the same 15/16ths like my Integra Rs, but the ears are located the same as the stock Civic so there's no need for the Integra booster. the Integra booster is larger volume, but I've yet to determine if the Teg booster makes much difference over stock until,this CX guy gets his 4-wheel discs and 40/40 prop valve.

So if you want an easy m/c upgrade with no booster worries, try this one.
