Default when is FPR needed?

As soon as my swap winds up i'll have a 95 b18b1 with I/H/E. i read in a magazine that this causes the motor to run lean and a FPR is needed. Is this true and does it run lean enough to hurt the motor? Also, anyone know a good place right now to get a good and decently priced FPR?

I don't think I/H/E would harm your car. If im not mistaken, wouldn't your ecu eventually compensate a small bit for the mods and actually put a little more fuel in? Rather than run lean it would actually run a little richer?

the magazine said that since the mods allow more air to enter, more fuel is needed, so therfore it runs lean, but the question is how much lean and will the ecu compensate for it like you are mentioning?? i dont know

the computer will compensate enough for those basic bolt ons, you dont need an upgraded FPR unless you are increasing the VOLUME of fuel you are delivering to the engine (like an upgraded pump.)

you should not have to worry about running lean with IHE. the map sensor will see that more air is coming in and will dump a lil more fuel in there to make up for it. Now if u were running a Turbo that is a different story.
