When to change t-belt for 98 civic? 99xxx on it now...can i lay into it? drive it even?
I know i'm near the suggested tbelt/water pump change, but how long can I drive it till? How long can I lay into the throttle? I want to drive it to about 4.5-5.5k, will this ruin it? Should I not drive it at all? Thanks, and it's got 99xxx (443 I believe)

its recomended from honda to change at somewhere like 90k to 93k. but i have seen cars w/ 150k taching each gear on a stock belt. i would change it just to be safe. that reiminds me that i need to do mine as well.

Just drive it the way you always do. The belt isn't going to all of the sudden break because you hit a magic number of miles. Hell, I've had a belt break on me 3K miles after I had honda change the dfamn thing for me. Needless to say they covered all the damage that was caused because of it.
Anyway, don't all of the sudden stop dead in your tracks because you've hit that "recommended" mileage point. Change it whenever you get around to it. It'll be fine.
