Wheels And Tires Question
Hi, i'm new and bought a 03 2dr civic ex about 6 months ago. I was looking to buy new wheels and tires. My dad is paying for the tires and they have to be all seasons so i chose the pirreli Zero M&S. Are they good? Also, as far as wheels go, i want around 17inch wheels. Would 17x 7 with 215/45-17 fit without rubbing or affecting handeling or acceleration? I know they are right diameter so that i don't have to change the spedometer. Also, what are some good brands to go with that are high quality, light, and can fit bigger rotors for in the future changes? What is the best size for acceleration and handeling? thanks

Re: Wheels And Tires Question (happyman12)
If you want handeling and acceleration, 17" are definately NOT the tires and rims you want. If you want them to be good looking and some handling do 15" or 16" I personally think 16's are perfect for the civics once you drop it and 17's are a tad bit on the big size for the wheel well. Thats my opinion though...
But if you want acceleration and handling, go down on your rim sizes you'll be happier with it. Also you sure its not 205/40/17? Then again I'm still in the 90's with my sol so I wouldnt know about the new 2003 ex's...
my $0.02

Re: Wheels And Tires Question (B16Drag)
they do have that size, but you would have to change speedometer. I was just looking at the 215/45-17. I just want to know if they will fit.

Not sure because I dont have a 2003 civic. But if it was one our civics, it'd be rubbing! Check it out on tires.com or tirerack and see what they recommond in terms of tire sizes for a 17" rim.. just know that that shiet will not have handling or acceleration if you compare it to a smaller rim size... Just because of its inertia..
