Default Wheels, Offset, Bigger Brakes, and You

I plan on starting a pretty long-term EG hatch project some time soon. I'm in the "planning" stages right now (I don't want to go into this *****-nilly, after all. I don't have too much money to burn). I want to convert to 5-lugs and big brakes sometime in the project, mostly cause I like stopping fast and I like the selection of wheels avaliable with a 5-lug configuration more. I also want to run 15s or 16s, because I really don't need heavy wheels on all 4 corners, especially since at this point I am looking at an all-motor B16C buildup. My question is this... What size of brakes can I run with 15s/16s? I am thinking specifically of Advan RG Racing Gymkahnas (15s) and Advan Series 6 (16s). Also, what kind of offset would I be looking at?

Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Also, as a bonus, can you confirm the r/s ratio for a B16C for me?

Default Re: Wheels, Offset, Bigger Brakes, and You (Mister Fixer)

It depends on the brake manufacturer and the offset of the wheel. Fastbrakes kit will fit under *most 15 wheels.

Some people will say ITR Brakes are sufficient.
