Wheel Stud (Stripped)
I bought another set of rims yesturday, however one of my Mugen Lug Nuts, as well as the wheel stud it was on are stripped. So my question is can this be fixed without buying a new wheel stud, or even whole new hub assembly?

Re: Wheel Stud (2NR)
What part of the wheel stud stripped? Is it the threaded part or the knurled part that gets pressed into the hub? If it's the threaded part then it can be pressed out and a new one pressed in. If it's the knurled part, the hub could be damaged as well and if it is it would require replacing the entire hub.

Re: Wheel Stud (2NR)
I just snapped a lug this weekend and I beat the old one out went to kragen bought a new one. It was about 3 dollars with a new lug nut
Placed the new one through the hole and stacked about 10 washers then put the lugnut on it.
Then I placed a block of wood under one of the other lugs to keep the wheel from spinning when I tightened the lug nut.
I just tightened the lugnut until it had pulled the stud all of the way into the hub.
Note:
Its a good idea to use a open ended lugnut so it wont bottom out and have a impact wrench handy. I got it almost all of the way in with a tire iron then realized I had a impact wrench in the garage and then it zipped right in.
Also You may have some clearance issues so you may have to remove the hub to get the stud into the hole.
good luck and take it easy on those lug nuts. 80ftlbs

Re: Wheel Stud (_BEN_)
Thanks guys. Actually I was only tqing them down to 70ftlbs. But when I first bought them, they were just hand tighten, and eventually came loose causing the wheel to wobble. And that's how we think the one stud, and lug got messed up unfortunatly.

wheel wobble? that's crazy! glad nothing serious happened to you. I was getting grief for having 3 studs on the front, so i recently changed mine out too...good luck
