Wheel Choice for my Hatch
I have a hatch and am looking for some wheels. I will most likely get 15's but 16's are a possibility. I was just wondering if anyone had some suggestions for what wheels i should get. They cannot be too expensive and they must be light. Seems like everyone gets Rota's and I wanted to be different. Anyone have any idea what wheels i should get?

Re: Wheel Choice for my Hatch (MLogan)
there's some good OEM honda wheels in 15" (GSR mesh, five spoke and swirlies, 99-00 Si wheels). And if you want Rota's get them. make yourself happy. They're good for what they are, cheap lightweight wheels.

Re: Wheel Choice for my Hatch (Barabus)
Yeah i was thinking of going with a oem wheel from another car. I have started to like the look of the earlier gsr swirlie wheels. These wheels are all 15 right? Are they that light? My vx wheels are really light but the size is not that great.

Re: Wheel Choice for my Hatch (2kTypeRHatch)
Team Dynamics, O.Z., Kosei, Buddyclub, Enkei, Panasport and 5zigen all have cast wheels that are strong yet fairly lightweight, like 12 pounds for a 15x6.5 wheel.
There are places to get deals on those above... but Rota is still the cheapest on the block and for a wheel that everyone uses, looks very good, not more than only a few unlucky people have had problems with.
And I highly suggest 15" wheels because of their lower cost, huge tire selection and the tires are even less expensive.

i think the vx wheels are 14 inch, not 100% sure tho. i know a guy that has an eg/eh with vx rims and got an 00 civic si brake swap. so they clear those rims( not sure if he used a spacer, but im prettys ure he didnt) . just a thought if u plan on getting brakes later on. good luck

If you have 14's and you want something else then go with something else. And if you don't wanna go with Rotas just because everyone goes with Rotas then here is something else to consider. The GSR and Si 15" alloys are around 15-16lbs per wheel so go aftermarket and find yourself something lights so you car doesn't go slower with larger diameter wheels. Plus some people want $400 give or take for Si wheel (obviously used) when you can get new wheels for just a couple hundred more or with luck find them for the same price. Here's a place I do some comparison shopping at: http://www.wheelweights.net/ Peace
