Wheel bearing symptoms??? Or so I think......

I just put together a civic and bought type r 4x114 suspension. When I start driving it rides smoothly, until i reach about 30mph, then I start to hear a little knocking sound coming from the front rightside wheel. Then when I turn left, at any speed, the knocking sound becomes even louder and you can even feel it start to shake. But when I turn right its normal, drives smooth..... Does any one know exactly what the problem is? Or even how to fix it? Any input would be greatly appreciated......

do you think that i would be getting the symptoms of somthing feeling loose with just a blown cv boot, b/c my right front outer cv boot has too tiny tears, which are causing the grease from the cv boot to come out...

wheel bearings hardley "feel" broken when its baout to bust, and your wheel is about to fall off.. most of the time they just houl. sounds like a rear end going out, just whining and high pitches..

i also think its your axle. i also think axles are balanced, that might have something to do wiht the 30MPH problem..

i still think your 32 count spline axles, so they're common, get them changed out, and let us know.. ide put money on that axle.

if your checking the boots and joints, check the wheel bearing as well, jack the car up, hit the sidewall of the tires fairly hard and try to listen to a distinct sound, try to shake the wheel by grabbing on the top and bottom, if you got some play, it's your wheel bearing https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

you might have to replace the shaft if the cv boot has been gone for too long and there is no grease left in it.

Yep, chances are if it's making noises, then it's too late. Time for rebuilt axles from NAPA
