Re: Wheel Bearing replacement (RedHatch.eh)
remove wheel
remove caliper and rotor
remove axle nut
remove spindle
using a clam shell, bearing separator, press the hub out of the bearing
remove the snap ring under the hub
then press the bearing out the front
oh yeah i forgot. install in reverse order and remember the snap ring.
basically if you dint have a bearing separator, and a press,
it is really hard. not impossible, but it is not fun.
if you are new to this, it is much easier to let someone who has done it, take care of it for you.

I still say go buy a manual. I have no pity for someone who works on a car without a manual and then comes here and whines about ******* it up.

Re: Wheel Bearing replacement (Loco Honkey)
When I work on my motorcycle, I always refer to the manual. Not too worry, I'll get a manual as soon as the have one in stock. I tried finding one this weekend but all the local shops were all out. What gives? Anyhow, thanks for the info. I wanted to know if there was anything special I needed, and it seems I do. I will probably just go see my buddy to have it done, as I don't have all the requied tools. He has about $60G in Snap-on tools so I'll leave it to him and buy him a 24 of Budweiser :D
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

i have the haynes manual and it says "take it to a professional shop" to replace the front wheel bearings.
so, can anyone point me to a good write up?
