ok so this all started back in febuary when I had a rhd eg hatch. I did the conversion myself and i loved this car for the amount of work I put into this car, iit taught me alot about everything I know about cars today.

I was racing a friend of mine on a out in the middle of no where in a development that went bankrupt. the streets were finished and the lights worked but nothing else was complete. I know I shouldnt have been racing on the streets but shit happenes. I blew a tire at 110 car jumped sideways went over a curb hit a fire hydrant and I was ejected from the car. i survived and walked away with a small cut on my head and a headache.

so I cut the car in half and sold it and a set of cams for 7 bills and made a trip to ridgecrest and found a virgin clean title auto teal green hatch.

got it home sold off stock motor and trans and started my build of my hatchy.

put new front bumper and fenders on, used carbon fiber hood
eg6 head lights with 8k hid's and amber corners
5 spd swap with steel braided line for slave cylinder
black duck bill with 3rd tail light
si tail lights
added all black interior with black deck cover
gsr gray leathers up front
si cluster
black with chrome lip rota circut 8's with brand new neogen tires
tokico 5 way adjustables with skunk2 coil overs
blox lca's
gsr front and rear suspension and rear disk with arp wheel studs all the way around
gsr front and rear sway bar jhpusa sway bar end links

I went to the track a week ago and untuned pulled a 14.2

launching at 6k i hooked pretty well b ut it bogged for a sec then picked up and spun like mad in second.

it needs a tune bad but lack of funds and a kid on the way arnt allowing me to spend the kinda cash on my car as I use to

if you swap all those parts that you listed into the new hatchy i can see you can get 4k easy for it.. beware of those people that will tell you 2k they are just going to tell you the value is less because aftermarket things have been installed and most people wouldnt like the parts that you changed....they just dont want to spend money on a car thats already hooked up besides people love a good deal on everything.

all those parts I named are on the car as it sits. thats a 96 spec header in the pic i have the 98 on it now, and I think it would be worth more than 4 or atleast id hope so

4k is definitely pushing it. i'm not saying you don't have a decent setup, but its still a 15 year old honda with a front clip in primer. the parts alone are worth x dollar value yes, but that does not simply add on to the price of the vehicle. the more mods you have, the more specific of a buyer you are looking for. selling a stock honda for 2k is a hell of a lot easier than selling a modded one for 4.

My frined sold his eg ex with jdm b16a, jdm fenders, blah blah in really good shape for 4700.

I would start out asking higher, which gives you a bit of wiggle room, also consider parting stuff out, you will always make more that way.

no you wont get what you paid for everything, but i dont think 4 is to bad at all very reasonable,
just compared to some of the stuff being sold in my area, but there are others on craigs in my area asking 15k, just cause its got a k swap and rims...it makes you wanna call them and go dude your a tard

Nice hatch. I like it a lot.

I'd say $4-5K is a pretty good estimate. Maybe a little more in California since it's legit and BAR'd.

If you color matched the front end and fixed a few minor cosmetic things, you'd have people yelling 'CLEEEEEEAN BRAH' and offering you $8K for it.

lol sry bout the gash pic but yea I blew farther than the car lol. im not sellin my car or parting it out, atleast not right now anyways, im only about 3k down for everything thats into the car, I came up on a lot of deals. I just wanted to know what other peopl;e thought of my car good or bad.

lol free agent no im not a lil upset about what some people said about my car overall i know if i paid 500 for the shell and spent 7000 on it i know i wouldnt get 6k for it unless it was a k swap... my car im sure i can break the 4k mark since its been restored completely even tho i did some mod's on it im sure theres a horny little billy somewhere that will pay a high amount i put a posting a CL to see how much i can get my engine swap for just to test the waters on the value more or less i can put on the car

once again im not hating, but some of the things mentioned were ricey, like shaved moldings and rain gutters, light weight shift linkage and short shifter?
all im saying is when someone would mention those things to me before i purchase a car, i would also assume there would be a shopping cart wing and colored wire holders in the engine bay,

point is some mods are say, tastefull, some are not and rather devalue the car more than not having it, even tho money was invested to have it installed,

say you have two 92 civic coupes same exact model and option to the tee one is stock down to hub caps and the other is stock aswell, except for the body kit, wich cost around a grand to look decent(aka paint and bondo)
id pay more for the stock one than for the modded one,

installation was free on every thing except the alarm,windshield, and the cluster besides that i did all the work myself. ive seen other cars around having shaved moldings but it all depends on the person who likes it. but yet again, theres people that want to do it to their car but don't because it cost too much to do the work
