bought a radar detector...and i plug it in and it does not work! What could be wrong? It isnt the fuse! so what else could it be??? Help me out.

Does your power outlet work at all? Have you tried to plug anything else up to it? If the awnser is yes then your plug is broke.

no nothing works in it...i hooked the radar detector to another car and it worked...there is something wrong with my outlet.

Well in that case you have 2 places where fuses are located, one is under your dash near your steering wheel, the second is in your engine bay. Check the fuse under your dash for as this is the one that goes out first. For reference you may want to go to a autoparts store and look in a haynes book about your car to find out which fuse you are looking for, or you could just yank one until you find it. Good luck and check your local RadioShack for the fuses. They have them in stock.

are you sure your getting 12v at the outlet? sounds like you r not!
