Default What's Up With My Civic?

I've got a 98 Honda Civic EX and it's been running really well for a while now. Unfortunately, yesterday this really strong smell appeared while I was driving it. The best way to describe it is kind of 'menthol', a really dizzying smell, almost like how i'd imagine liquid battery would smell. It was only inside the car, and only happened while I was driving, but I had to open the window cos the smell was so dizzying, I thought I was going to pass out!

My first thought was leaking coolant, but it doesn't look like that. I'm taking the car in tomorrow to get checked out, but was just wondering if you experts had any idea? It didn't seem ro be leaking anything at all, so I'm hoping it's nothing major.

Thanks in advance

If you're taking it to a mechanic don't worry about it - a mechanic is going to have much better luck trouble shooting the car in his shop than anybody on here could by just getting what they know from what you're telling us.

It's completely different.
