Whats this 'stuff' called?
I can't find it on Majestic's site, but its the white/beige putty type stuff that helps seal the plastic sheet to the door, and for the rear metal panel that holds the rear window.
Thanks!
Its a 93 Del Sol if that matters.

Dunno. I just used clear window caulk to stick mine back up with because it's what I had sitting in the garage. It's about the same consistency when it dries, and it works a little better in my opinion. At least it seems to stick the plastic stuff up better than whatever OEM used. Your car will smell a little funky for a couple days.
Concourse will dock you points though lol.

What can I use to replace the plastic piece? Mine is ripped.
And if anyone knows the real stuff, that would be great, and if not, looks like I'll use hot glue too, tho I'm not sure I want something that permanent.

It kinda keeps the moisture out, not that important. I have it completely taken off in my other door, I don't notice any difference

Well, I may leave it off the door, but I'd like to do it right if possible.
But I'm going to have to get the right stuff, or close to it, so I can replace the rear panel and put my rear glass back in. (had to fix the defogger).
Guess I'll call the Stealership tomorrow and see what they say.

I think the best thing to do is just go to your local hardware store and pick up a roll of plastic sheathing. For one of my other cars I simply bought the thickest plastic sheathing I could find and cut it with a razor blade to fit the old piece. Also, Honda sells the sealant for the plastic piece. This is it here:

Re: Whats this 'stuff' called?
Thanks for the tips!
I just went to The Zone, but it was at close, and as usual the employees had no clue and told me to use RTV Gasket
I'll get the Stuff 2 posts up, and do it right. Also going to get thick plastic for it.
Thanks guys. I'll post pics once its done!

Re: Whats this 'stuff' called?
The nice thing about getting a roll of the plastic is that it's pretty cheap, not to mention that if you get the thicker stuff it's going to hold up better than the thinner plastic that comes on the car stock. That means you can remove it and not worry about tearing it when doing speaker installs and such. The cool thing about using that adhesive I listed is that it comes in a caulk tube so it makes installing the plastic a breeze. Just take your time with it and you'll end up with something better than stock.

Thanks Honda Guy.
I wish I could Dynamat it, but I'm not that concerned about the sound. I'm going to do a Mass Backing on my Carpet, and that will probably be all. Its too expensave to buy enough for the car to do it right.
Thanks!
