Default Whats the point of extended lug nuts?

Like the title says. I've seen people using them with regular studs and people using them with extended studs.....

one reason is to fit on wheels with smaller innerspace such as slicks

you need them when using wheel spacers also.

yeah thats what I said first but then I realised he wasnt talking about the extended lugs themselves. hes only talking about the lugnuts.

wider wheels, more extreme offset, wheel spacers...

many reasons, and there's nothing MAD JDM TYTE about them.

Maybe not, but you have to admit, there are hundreds of people with them that have no use for them, **** sticking out like two inches for no reason.

I'm assuming you can use them on standard studs? Reason asking is sometime in the next year I'm going to be doing the TSX rotor, NSX caliper conversion on my car and you have to use a wheel spacer so I don't know whether to buy standard lug nuts now then just have to buy extended's when I do the conversion.

dude when you are using a spacer you need longer lugs not longer lug nuts. longer lug nuts arent going to do anything more than your standart lugnuts are going to do. now if you have deep insets on your wheels then you may need longer lugnuts in order to not bottom out a socket when youre trying to put them on or take them off but thats the only reason you would need longer lugnuts. the lug is the part that looks like a bolt, the lugnut is the part that screws onto it.
