Whats the point? EG headlights
borrowed this image from a DIY thread
the little lines in the lights, are those there for any real reason, my guess is to spread the light out, but does it really do anything for the light.
reason im asking is because, i figure, if you can sand yellow off a headlight and treat it so it will come out nice and smooth, you might be able to do it to those lines and get a clear lense for the light. yall just lemme know, good idea, bad idea.
btw i wouldnt try this without getting myself a spair set of lights

yup, you got it, they are there for a reason, leave them like that...
Those lines are also in the inside of the headlight, if you sand them they will look real shitty....dont bother ruining them

the lines are there so oncoming traffic doesn't get as much glare from them. They basically allow the light to exit straight out of the housing, but partially block it from exiting off axis.

As mentioned the lines break-up the light. I know you said you weren't going to attempt this but for anyone else thinking about it don't. That lens is glass and will not sand easily. You would be better off just buying some projectors..
