You also need the axles. And make sure all the engine wire harnesses are intact. But to find more details try the search button (archive). Its not that hard. The hardest part is the wiring. You can go to Hondata.com and hybrid.honda-perf.org to learn more about the wirings.

First of all, since you're in VA just drive down to N.C to Import Auto Salvage and see Larry Jr. to buy all your swap stuff, including the brakes.

Swap?

Engine, tranny, ECU, axles, shift linkage, mounts, complete exhaust manifold, catalytic converter, o2 sensor(s), engine harness, ALL hoses UNCUT AND capped off, extra box of bolts and misc. pins

ALL of the above comes with the I.A.S swaps. their # is 1-800-962-8922

If you can't get Larry Jr., then get Randy Joeb. I've bought 2 swaps from them for me and my fiancee's cars, and my brakes, seats, and other fun stuff came from them too.

Their brakes come with: (From GS-R)

Front spindles including rotor, caliper, lines
Rear traling arm with all the lines and hardware to do the rears
Master cylinder w/booster
Proportion valve

Call them - tell them TOM sent you.

Hope that helps. And BTW, DO the brakes. It makes a huge difference and makes the car safer too.

You will have better luck posting in the Hybrid Forum.

I did the swap myself along with some friends.

Remember 2 things...

- Removing axle nuts are a fvcken biatch
- Be sure to use your civic motor mounts. They fit the chassis and the Integra mounts are flush and won't work. If you're buying ES motor mount bushings...keep that in mind

More luck in the hybrid forum, as in my post wasn't helpful or something? I don't get it. I pretty much covered all the parts needed and even a good place to get them - if he wants to hear 10 different people say the same thing, then okay, but I thought I was pretty thorough...

We weren't talking labor yet, but if we were, i'd have to mention how much of a pain the shift linkage pin is

You'll need a punch set and some patience.

You misunderstood what I was saying. I not saying you don't have good info (I did the B18C1 swap in my EG CX myself and I guarantee I have a lot of info I could share).

What I meant was that he would be better off posting in the Hybrid forum...kind of like if I have a question about my ITR, I would post in the ITR forum and probably not the regular Integra forum.

I would go with the '94-'95 B18C1 swap (OBD1) if I were you. They also have an oil cooler those years.

Yes it is possible to convert your wiring harness.

If you get an OBD1 ECU you will also have to get an OBD1 distributor or modify it. I am not sure but, I have seen and heard that the injectors could be different as well.

THat's if mileage is not an issue for you. Good luck finding a 94-95 B18C1 with low miles. IMO, I screw the oil cooler when I have less than 15K miles on the engine.

I bought my '94 B18C1 swap with 61k for $3500. I'm quite happy with it.

i found a a complete 96 b18c1 w/ 47k miles on it.. to me that seems like a great engine.. im gonna call to check prices and see what else i can get..

should i try to get the radiator also w/ the engine? i know its a bigger radiator then on my d16 so it will cool the engine better.

what does the oil cooler do also?? i dont have one of those on my civic??? and where is on the b18???

aww so many questions im sure ill have more as i research more..

btw, where can i get a skunk2 obd conversion harness from??? and how much are they??

Default HOLD THE PHONE!!!

You CAN get an OBDII swap and just get an OBDI ECU and you do NOT have to re-wire ANYTHING. Keep your OBDII distibutor AND your DOHC VTEC motor's injectors with NO problems.

How would I know? How about I've done TWO 1998 ITR swaps into 1992 Civics and the OBDII engine harness PLUGS into the chassy harness on the Civic.

You MUST get an OBDI ECU for it to work though.

I have a 1998 ITR swap in my 1992 Civic and I didn't have to re-wire the distributor or ANYTHING at all - simply plug it all up and get the OBDI ECU and you're set to go.

WEll, you'll still have to wire up the VTEC, knock sensor (if your ECU reads for one), and the secondary butterfly switch if you've got a GS-R swap.

BTW: I also work at ashop that has done over 30 DOHC VTEC swaps too - a lot of which were OBDII swaps into OBDI cars, in which cases we get the OBDI ECUs and it's all good.

thanks for the help w/ my swap... im reading over your last reply and you said that i would have to wire up vtec - the car that it will be going into has a SOHC vtec engine (d16z6 civic ex engine) do i still need to wire something else up??? i know about the knock sensor and also buttery switch (ive read about that before) im probably gonna end up getting an OBDII engine cause the miles in which case ill need to get an OBDI ecu correct??? and when when i check out the engine i dont need the chasis harness cause its all the same (ive noticed it looked the same by lookin at integra GSR engine bays before) well if you got any other info you can help me out it would be great... i can tell that you know what your talkin about and its good to see people helping when help is needed..
