What's the name of this mount? drivers side....
the mount on the bottom of the subframe on the drivers side in front of the axle. is that clear? it's got like a shaft looking thing that heads straight to the block near the a/c compressor. anyway, i had my wheel off and i looked up and the rubber in the mount is completely torn apart, and there is a shaft just dangling in the middle of it. What is this mount called? And is it one i could change/replace myself, or will a shop have to do it, and if so, how much should it run me? thanks for any help. I hope i've been clear enough! btw, this is on a 92 CX with a b18b1

You should replace it or put a bushing insert kit in there from Prothane. The more the motor moves the less HP gets to the ground.....

juat pick up a set of the energy suspension or prothane motor mount inserts. the ES ones are only $35-$40 and are supplied for the two lower front mounts and the rear tranny mount. i am putting mine in next week....hopefully it cures the problem. good luck.
