Default Whats missing?

So I just bought a 92 Civic CX with a d15b7 in it. Which I believe came out of a del sol. I've never messed with a motor like this, so can you tell me what is missing in these pics. I'm not sure what is suppose to go where this hole and bolt holes are.

Really? So nothing is suppose to go there? Why would they make it like that?

What is stamped on the front of the engine, dizzy side, a little below the level of the dizzy?

Edit: sp00ledbseries, ED9Got_Vtec and onereving7 are right: The USDM D15B7 comes with that hole but it is blocked off, presumably neatly at the factory. So a rag should go in there only about one inch. Other D15B engines have or had carburetors and the hole gave access to a lobe on the camshaft to mechanically drive a fuel pump. My D15B (nonvtec, swap shipped from Japan) has the hole but the block-off plate is much more prominent (held on with two bolts, for one thing), I gather indicating the engine swap company put it there when it got modified to MPFI, like what is described at

The block is for sure a d15b7 it's stamped with it. However the head could be a different head. The guy told me it wasn't, that the motor just came out of a del sol but who knows.

I see, will it hurt not being covered like that or does it need to be blocked?

On the front of the head near #4 exhaust port there should be numbers like PM3-8 stamped. This might tell you a bit more, especially if you are trying to tune this engine.

If you can put a rag through that hole and it comes out oily, block it off with a plate to fit.

Nothing is missing. Some d15b7's else where in the world were carburated, and that is a mounting place for a mechancial fuel pump. Your car does not need it, and there was never a cover. Fix the damn oil leaks though

The oil leak is fixed. I drove it 4hrs home and the guy i bought it from didn't tell me the seal on the oil cap was completely gone. So when i checked it about halfway through the drive oil had leaked out everywhere.
