Default What's it mean when your rotor wobbles?

I've got some teg spindles that I'm using for my big brake setup, and I just noticed that when I put my new rotors on and spin them, they wobble and don't spin true. Does this mean the wheel bearing is bad?

If your rotor tilts in and out your wheel bearing is bad.

How do you fix a bad wheel bearing?

Uh.. did you put the wheel in first then torque them to see if it still does it? if the wheel bearing is bad it would make noise also.

The rotor will wobble a bit if the screws aren't used to attatch it to the hub...if you want to check to see if the wheel bearing is damaged snug all the lugs then try to wiggle the wheel toward and away from the car...if it moves at all you need a new wheel bearing...if that is the case a new one will have to be pressed in to the hub...bearing and labor to press it (assuming you can remove the hub assembly yourself) will be about $100-$120.

Better off buying a new hub.

Well that blows. I did try tilting the hub and it did shake, so I guess using that one's out of the question. I didn't even think to check it while I was at the junkyard. And for $20 I can't really complain either.

No it's not even on the car yet. THanks guys looks like I need a new set of spindles.
