Searched this and couldn't find much on it. Anyone know what all is involved to do this? Does it look correct? Anyone have pics I can see if they have done this?

Those are Type R style lips for the '96-'98.

It's a '99-'00 Si/CTR lip, but made for a '96-'98.

It looks bad. The dips on the lip don't match the ends of the lower grille and imo the lip looks cheap and out of place on '96-'98s.

Yeah, a lip meant for a 99-00 just looks wrong on a 96-98.

I am also not too impressed with the one made for 96-98. I don't like how the lip has a "tongue" that goes into the grille opening. Guess I'll continue to go with nothing unless I end up doing a 99-00 front clip.

get a 99-00 front end, and a 99-00 front lip will fit perfectly.

my friend use to do those kind of setups back in days. he would put si lips on 96-98 civics. if remember correctly, There is going to be a space where each end of the lips meet you bumper and your going to need some kind of space to fill the gap. and the lip is not going to look fush. Its been a while, but just my $.02

Which ONE? There are three OEM '96-'98 front lips I'm aware of.

No it isn't. The SiR lip is meant to be matte black and it hangs completely under the bumper.

Get a '99-'00 and it will have a '99-'00 front which will fit '99-'00 lips perfectly.

Yep... all one OEM designs that came for those years.

Wel, I don't like the 2 that i have seen that are similar to the Si lip. One goes way up the side of the bumper and goes into the grille opening, the other one looks kind of like an Si lip on the sides but has the "tongue" that goes in the grille opening. The SiR lip may not be bad.

I'm not sure which ones you think look like the Si lip (which, btw, is actually just a '99-'00 lip - it happens to be standard on the Si, but it's optional for all '99-'00 Civics).

These are the OEM '96-'98 Civic front lips.

"SiR"
