whats the highest rev limiter thats still safe for stock head b16
i was just debating on whether or not to go with the skunk2 chipped p28 ecu, it seems like a 9200 rev limit is kinda high, really i didnt wanna go above 9k, whats the highest thats still safe on a stock b16a?

umm no reason to rev higher then the stock 8200..coz you dont make any power pass 8 or soo...CAUSE your motor is stock..

i guess the reason i ask is because i need a new ecu, old one fried, and if i buy a new one its gunna be chipped,

If its a bone sock b16, dont bother going any higher. No extra power up there and a possibility of floating valves and ruining your head.
If you've got cams and upgraded valvetrain, thats a different story.

get valvetrain and cams and rev that **** high. thats where b16 makes their power. but of course get it tuned. but stock just rev it to 8200rpms

Dont get the skunk2. Talk to mtber here on ht and get a chipped ecu from him. Leave your vtec engaugement and rev limit stock.
