What's a good short shifter?
i've been through 2 short shifters and i really think the brand names are the way to go. i had a Ractive one and how i have the OBX one. the Ractive wasn't that bad but i still had trouble getting into 1st when slowing down from 2nd gear. now as for this OBX pos....it grinds my 3rd gear sometimes and it's almost impossible to get it into reverse. i installed both short shifters properly and when i put the stock back on everything was better. so i'm looking for a precise short shifter that has the 2 bends(like the integras). some people tell me to get the Neuspeed but i think it only has the one bend and the DC SPORTS one...some say they like it and other don't. i don't want to waste anymore money on a sucky short shifter, so please i need some suggestions from those who have a good short shifter.
by the way i have a 00' civic ex coupe. does anyone have trouble getting into 1st gear when slowing down? and have you noticed that when you pull the hand brake and look at the car from the rear, it's kinda tilted to one side? this is the same thing that happens to my friend's Si. it's weird....we always thought the car wasn't on level ground, but when we compared each car to see if both have a tilt when the hand brake is up. i hope anyone can help. thanks

None. The stock shifter is still fast as hell and is just long enough to keep from screwing up your syncros in the tranny.

ive heard the worst things about dc....bad feel and not properly weighted....i am buying skunk2 hands down in a few weeks. Heavy enought to give you a nice feel and solid enough so it will last and looks AWESOME!

i got my car used and dont know if i have a short shifter already. Its black and looks about the same. I took it out and compared to an opened short shifter and there wasnt a whole lot of difference.
Any thoughts?
I heard Neuspeed was really good, but its expensive for a piece of metal.

I've got a cheap Arospeed one and it works okay. I'd like to upgrade myself. As far as it being difficult going down to 1st gear....does it only happen when you are slowing down for like a stop sign or traffic light?? Mine has always done the same thing until I slow down to almost a complete stop...then it just slides right into 1st gear. I think it has something to do with your speed......maybe?? I don't know....I've never really worried about it though.

SOLO are the best, and the cheapest!!! Not just that I'm sponsored by them, but they are real good, and way better than dcsports!!!

I have a C's short shift for my EK. Best investment you can ever make. Its so smooth and light. Its a one piece machined aluminum. Super Light. I never thought a brand name shortshift could make a difference untill I got a C's.

b&m is a solid shifter the only problem, as i am sure others have said, is that it rattles. other than that a great buy.

The SKUNK2 Racing Dual-bend Short-shifter/SKUNK2 Shift **** is the best combination on the market - period. There is NO OTHER CHOICE IMO!!! That's all you need to know. Take it for what it's worth; your loss if you don't listen...
