I am thinking of sticking with the d16y8 I have, unfortunately it is afflicted with an auto transmission. So......what is the going rate for a used 96-00 ex tranny with 50k-60k miles...$300?

That sounds about right on with the ebay price. Make sure you get a good one with low miles, trust me, don't scimp out on a tranny

I have seen them go for about $150 in the classifieds sometimes.

basically between 150-300 depending on miles/condition/distance from you.

i bought my ex tranny for 180 after shipping... except the bastard got arrested shortly after i sent the money... so no tranny for me.

.... that really pissed me off.

I got a similar deal, 175 here. Left it in the box it came in this witner due to lack of time to install it, took it out about a month ago, input shaft bearing is toast!

Pay the premium and get a low mileage tranny
