you should have figured out the differences between the ECU's before you bought it.

p08 is for the d15b vtec

nope it's for the jdm d15b. It uses a single o2 sensor configuration instead of the 4-wire used on the p28, redlines at 7200, and has a more aggresive fuel curve. Did you ask for a pic of it without the cover on it to make sure he isn't selling your an auto ecu? The p08 can be made into a p28 from chipping.

ahahah, have fun running that thing. I hope your motor was built for it. Let us know what happens when you rev it to 9600 rpms... oh and how crappy the power is at 4400

because if you cant figure out what ECU you bought, why am I going to believe you have built the motor to withstand that kind of ECU setup?

If you have a built motor like you say..then why not another type of legit management system ( if you dont know..i meaning a controller or standalone ) wideband ..and etc. why some ebay thing that can destroy your ..built car. Just asking. OH yeah and no need to go all crazy cause one person questions your setup and your knowledge. It was all just to help you out. in a way..

because he doesnt have built motor and thought he was getting this uber 1337 deal off ebay... and instead he got screwed.

Buying a chip or chipped Ecu off ebay is dumb unless you know the seller. You dont know if it is real or what the maps are.

Like everybody with a brain, I never bought anything without first doing research on it.

Is there a way to cancel your bid? What about filing a complaint? I never bought anything off ebay so I wouldn't know.

it doesnt matter the comp.. u can make the po8 . 4 wire o2. it doesnt matter... let me explain.. okay..

i chipped an ecu for a friend.. out of my old p05 cx ecu.... he bought everything from xenocron.. very good company let me tell u.. but anyway.. he got a chip burned for a b16 and all the stuff that needs to come with a chip..

he bought the stuff to make the non vtec computer vtec.. and the transistor to make it 4 wire o2.... well let me tell u.. it pulls hella harder than my cx computer chipped for a 1.6 does

Is that difficult to do? I remember reading something about ECU tuning on Honda Tuning a couple months ago. I think it was about tuning a stock P28, I not sure.

its not that difficult do do but it would be good to have some experiecne with desoldering and soldering on circuit boards it took me about 5 ecus to get the solder right where its not bulged on top of the board where it sucks in.. but i can do it now... and i have had some experience before..

if you want to get into chipping ecu's.... get a few junk ecus to start out with that way you dont ruin anything that u need...

and use a desoldering braid.. im better with the braid over the desoldering gun... but its all personal prefrence

While we're on the P08 subject, you can put on in a non v tec D15 and it adds power?

It could be socketed. I have a p08 that is socketed and got it from ebay, you can burn any type of chip you want and install it on the ECU. And ya Ebay chips and chipped ECU suck ***. I guess they are good for ricers that dont know any better. The timing is usually to advance for your setup and fuel is to rich. Youll have bad gas mileage and with todays gas prices its not a good idea.

Stealth, who did you buy the ECU from? Did they say it was a P30 or P28, and not mention it's a CHIPPED ECU? This seller probably bunked you 200 dollars for something not even worth 100. If you're interested in a good engine management system for only 350, I can sell you my HONDATA computer.
