Thats weird...

UP for some good answers. I'm just as curious as you are. You mean like...the sputtering type sounds a few seconds into the clip, correct?

Wow you got me on this one. Hopefully a Honda Tech sees this thread and can help you out. Do you do any maintenance on the engine.

he definitely needs a valve adjustment. but the knocking in increments is weird. i've had some pretty loud tapping valves, but never knocking.

get an adjustment done and see what happens.

whats weird is when this clicking noise takes place, if i turn off the a/c, then it stops. if i keep the a/c off then it goes away. not sure if there is a direct connection??

when you say click you mean the increments, right? are you sure it's coming from the motor. you sure it's not the a/c compressor.

I second that.

Find out where it's coming from, block, head, whatever. It might be an accessory like the AC comp.

Also, check the timing :-\.

EDIT:
Other possibilities (but not what I'd look into first) are fuel injectors and/or rotor/cap/plugs/wires.

i think you guys are right about it being the a/c compressor. i didn't think of that until i figured the clicking stops when a/c is off. i will double check and get back to you guys. thanks for helping out. you guys are very helpful.
