Default What's the best springs/shocks/camber setup?

I have a 1998 Honda Civic EX 2DR Coupe 5Spd. I've not done many mods to it yet. I'll list the mods below. My question is that with all the brands and makes out there and combinations... which setup is the best to choose? I want to lower my car so I need the coilover springs, shocks, and camber kit.

The mods I have are as below:
Motegi MR7 White Wheels
Yokohama AVS ES100 Tires
Sony Xplode CD/MP3 Player
A'PEXi Cat-back Exhaust
AEM Cold Air Intake
Nology Spark Plugs
Nology Hot Wires
APC Luminance Guages

I think that's all for now.

Thanks for any help.

My best advice is Search. There has been 452,596,458,752,458 topics on this.

Search:

coilover
springs
struts
ground control
eibach
h&r
skunk2

And LOTS of information will come up.

It would help if you stated what your looking to get out of your suspension. Are you looking to be tucking rubber, wheel or do you want to have the best handling possible?

If you want to be tucking you'll need shortened shocks and a camber kit unless you don't mind riding bump stops everywhere you go and changing tires everytime you do an oil change.

If you want the best handling then you don't want to go under around 1.5". This is because your suspension geometry was not designed to work at this height. With 1.5" of drop your camber won't be messed up that much so you don't really need to correct it (many non double-wishbone cars run 1 degree of negative camber from the factory) but when you start correcting it you are then seriously messing with other parameters, such as the steering axis and upper/lower control arm lenght ratio.

There are ways to drop further without adverse effects, but that starts being expensive. Some companies sell modified lower control arms, trailing arms, spindles etc that will position your wheel higher on the car therefore lowering the car.

Last but not least don't even think about lowering your car without a proper set of performance shocks. OE shocks were simply never made to absorb the energy released by a decompressing performance spring which will not only cause your car to be bouncy as hell but will also tend to overheat as you drive and blow over time. Changing springs and shocks is not a simple job so why not do both at once anyways?
