Whats the best spring rate?
I have a 95 civic dx hatch. I am dropping a b18c1 in it shortly and I plan on taking it to the drags and using it as my daily driver. I dont mind if the ride is a bit harsh. I am buying Ground control coilovers and I need to know what would be the best spring rate for me.

I know this sounds wierd, but my friend and I put a b16 in an EG and used maxspeed coils for an ECLIPSE. increased the spring rate and the car handles very nice. The springs are the same height and diameter and everything just stiffer.

Instead of buying the Ground Control's, try looking into the Skunk2's. I know they offer a drag kit with something like 400 lbs. in the front and 900 lbs. in the rear. Those rates should be more than enough to keep you from moving too much.

Re: Whats the best spring rate? (GRHatchMan)
By reading your post & thinking about it for a minute... try this.
Since you are going w/ GC, then ask for 350 spring rate up front & 400 spring rate in the rear since you can get custom rates.
I would also suggest getting KYB AGX Adj shox. I have had experience w/ Tokico Blue, Tokico Illumina, Koni Yellows, KYB AGX, & TEIN HA dampers. The KYB are a good all around shock. Do not go over the suggested spring rate I mentioned for the AGX. If you go higher, then get the Koni Yellows (up to 500 spring rate)
Anything over 500 spring rate I would suggest you start looking @ shox that are valved to handle the 500 + that you are looking into.
If you need any more info... post it up.
