What's the best lubricant to use to quiet down squeaky AC/PS pulleys?
I tried some spray on white lithium grease, and it worked for a day, but now this morning the pulleys are even louder than before! Any advice? Is grease harmful to the belts?

They seem to squeak all the time, but yes, it's worse when the car is idling. It gets worse when I turn the headlights on and the car is in drive. It doesn't squeak n early as much when it's in neutral.
Also, why would spraying them with lithium grease quiet them down for a day?
How often should those belts be replaced? My car has 100K on it. Never replaced them before.

it's tume to tighten/replace the belts.
Or, you can buy "belt grip" from any auto store and place some drops on the moving belts

I'm kind of a car retard, are belts difficult to replace? Just swap them out? Do you need to tighten them or do anything special?

go buy a Chilton's manual for 10 bucks and it will tell/show you how.
SHould only take a few minutes to tighten up all belts.
Go outside with the car off, and see how much you can twist the belt. You shouldn't be able to twist it more than 180 degrees fairly easily
The ones that twsit more, replace/tighten

this is very easy, go do it before one of those belts break!
good luck and if you need any help, you know where to ask bro.
