yep, pretty much.
you could also take the belt off that drives the pump for a couple days and see if you like it or not.

its alot harder to turn with every thing hooked up and the belt off than if you took the hose off.

Thats pretty much the way to do it...if you dont want to do that then make sure you get down and lube the rack every so often...

and if you go the closed loop route make sure you install a breather so that pressure doesnt build and F stuff up

Re: WHATS THIS?? (eg-owns you)
i think its more responsive without Power steering but when your just chilling and trying to park / u - turn / basically when your stopped or going like 5 mph its a bitch man its really stiff and you gotta really lugg on

i may be wrong but i m pretty sure the power steering turns off after u hit a certain mph. so there really is no difference unless ur going under that specified mph. now driving at low speeds without ps is no fun ..i wouldnt remve it unless ur going to do a pretty decent build on ur car other than that i dont see the reason in getting rid of it.

You cant? i mean once you get rolling its not hard, but you definatly always notice it.

Ive been driving an EF since october without power steering...
It was a little tough to get used to for about 2 days, then I didnt care.
Builds muscles

Re: (pdiggitydogg)
If your going to pull your Power steering, do it right and either swap your rack and pinion to a Non-PS rack or loop PS on the rack with a smoall hose. If you dont loop it and you loose all your PS fluid the rack gets f'ed up.
But, IMO.. Be a baller and roll with all the comforts. PS, AC, & CC and dont be like the rest and strip your car to be "faster".
