WHAT IS YOUR EM1 MPG?!?!?
Okay, my EM1 only gets about 18 MPG on city and about 22 on HIGHWAY. What are you guy getting with your EM1?
MODS:
JDM B16A ( 1st gen )
P06 ECU chipped for DOHC Vtec and aggressive fuel map.
AEM intake
2.5 inch pipe'n
RS Exhaust
I know its suppose to get 26 city and 31 Highway but that's only if you drive like a granny. I'm pretty sure nobody drive an Si like that =/. Anyone know my problem?

Re: (Muttly)
Yea thats way to low. What is your vtec set at? 4400 or something? You are dumping way too much fuel in there. Get a good tune and raise that vtec to stock and you will see a jump in mpg.

My 2nd gen JDM b16a gets 24mpg city with my "spirited" driving method and I see over 30mpg when I'm on the highway at 65-75mph at around 4000rpms (mods in sig).
Change your ecu and you'll see better mpg

Most definitly the ECU. Because that ECU was based for built B20 Vtec. So i'm pretty much dissing unecessary fuel into my engine. And my Vtec engage at 5.9 and ends at 8.5

i get between maybe 29-30+ everytime. it really depends how i drive. just driving normal i can easily get 30+
i only have intake, exhaust, clutch and flywheel.

I have 95 D16z6 with dc headers, cai, and a cat back and I get 26-28 city and 32-35 hwy. I have a Ford Thunderbird also with a 281 V8 and it gets 17-20 city and 22-25 hwy... sad that the T-bird gets the same gas mileage as you JDM B16A

On my 99 Civic Si these are the numbers i have been able to pull. Only has an intake and exhaust running 92 octane. I am at sea level too. Numbers were in the fall time 60-70 degrees F.
Straight highway: Constant 80-85mph for 3 hours on a road trip I got 32mpg
Driving to and from school: Mostly highway, 70-75mph. Minor stop and go driving. Average 26-28 mpg
City Driving/Around Town: Stop and go, 0-45mph. Average 22mpg
Spirited City/Around Town: Stop and go, m@d Vtec, full throttle used. Average 17-19mpg
Range: From full to when the low fuel light comes on i get around 250-300 miles.
Your numbers only seem a little low and im going to guess its because its the older OBD0 engine. Try a pr3 or pw0 ecu and your MPG should increase.
