What is wrong with my new suspension setup???
I need the help of H-T's finest. I installed my front suspension setup last week (we only did the fronts because we broke the infamous rear LCA bolt ), and tonight me and a buddy installed my rear springs/shocks. I'm running Eibach Sportline springs with Tokico Blue HP shocks, brand new. My rears look GREAT IMO:
The fronts, on the other hand... :
WTF is wrong here? Why won't the fronts settle like the rears did? Do I just have to wait a few more days/weeks for the fronts to settle evenly or what? My car looks straight RETARDED, HELP!

God I am soo pissed
Those fronts better settle by April, this blows
Doesn't YokohamaSiR have the same setup in his Si? Why is his drop even?

Eibach Sportline are known for that. The fronts sit higher than the rear Kinda sucks

No dude, it's not the sportlines. I have them on my '00 civic and my friend has them on his '00 si and it is not that high in the front. Check your bumpstops, maybe they need to be trimed more.

yea, doesn't look right to me. you sure the fronts are installed right? maybe the shock didn't go into the fork like it should've, but that wouldn't make that much of a diff. anyhow. check it again.

I'm going to have to agree with others here and say that they don't look installed correctly. Go back to the sheet that comes with the Sportlines and compare the numbers. They tell you what number is supposed to go where. Are you sure you the part number is correct. Maybe you have Integra springs or something.
BTW, springs don't really settle. If a spring settles more than an 1/8 inch they are now considered to be sagging.

make sure..you aligned the shock into the Front LCA..and make sure the front springs are seated right..and check the bumpstops..did you cut them in half? There is DEFINATELY something not right..in that install

Re: What is wrong with my new suspension setup??? (Cosmo)
thats exactly how my front looked when I installed my pro-kits w/koni yellows. The koni's come with spring perches that slide over the shock. They are not built into the shock like the stock shocks. I had messed up and had the spring perch upside down. So the springs were like 2" higher than they were supposed to be. FLipped the perch around and voila, a lowered car.
We could probably help more if you took that front wheel off and took a pic for us.

Re: What is wrong with my new suspension setup??? (kommon_sense)
Thanks for the advice guys, I'll do that. I had one buddy help me with the front, but my friend who helped me with the rears used to work for a shop. I know for a FACT that the rear bumpstops are shorter in the rear than the front. But I followed the Tokico instructions for the front, and cut 1 inch off, leaving about 2/3 of the bumpstop on there to sit on the shock. For the rears, my buddy used the other 1/3 of his old bumpstop off his teg , should I just do the same for the fronts? I didn't know that the bumpstop height has anything to do with how low the car sits (please don't flame me if I'm wrong, this is my first time installing suspension).
So you guys think that trimming the front bumpstops all around should make it better? Any other advice?

Is there any chance you have a set of springs intended for an Si or other b-series car? B-series engines are around 150 lbs. heavier than d-series...
I've seen pictures of Civics with d-series engines and '99-'00 Si springs installed... the Si springs are intended for the heavier b16a2, and d-series cars get a similar height mismatch with them.
