Hi i have recently seen an O2 sensor code show up on my car. it is a 96 civic with a 98 b18c1. i checked the spark plug wires at the ends where the wire meets the plug because i did not have a long enough extention to reach the plug. three of the plug wires were brownish and 1 of them was white. could this be making my car run like crap. what should i do?? I'm just saying that i recently got a check engine light for my O2 sensor. And was wondering if it was because i have a bad spark plug. What color should the sparkplugs be? 3 of them look brownish and one of them looks white. What should i do?

um, get a new o2 sensor maybe? why are you xchecking the sparked plug wires for an o2 sensor code? maybe i read it wrong..

Why would you check the spark plugs for o2? Check the o2 sensor. Common sense. It's a wonderful thing.

did you do this engine swap yourself? if so, then the o2 sensor may not be the only thing wrong with your car....

but yeah, just get a new o2 sensor. problem solved
