Depending on the color it is now, I would get coilovers and the engine, especially since your springs were cut. If the body has exposed metal though, I would go ahead with the paint to avoid rust and whatnot.

I did my motor 1st, but then had it painted right after that so when they put it in, it didnt mess up a new paint job. Id probably do paint 1st, but thats just me

i would do the engine first although i know you are tempted to work on the body first and get it looking smooth first.

But as soeone said... When it comes to doing the engine, your paint work will get scrathed up no matter how careful you are!

Bah, soon theifs are going to start stealing shitty looking cars, like mine.

Primered Turbo D on steelies.

I'm hoping to have it painted soon.

Personally I'd rather do the swap before the paint because I don't give two ***** about looks. Speaking of looks I need to go shave.

Out where I live you can still leave your house doors unlocked, and not have to worry. When we drive into the city, my freind always has to park his car under a light and up front whereever we may be. We dont have a car theft problem, yet. He still worries and I dont blame him.

Function>Fashion.

If your car looks super nice, people are going to want it (IE. take it from you)

Besides if you go to the track people won't bug you about what you have in your car till you beat the living **** out of them.

I was at the track in my bone stock (then auto) 96 EX coupe and my friend had his 93 dx coupe with a turbo GSR. These guys walked right past him and straight to me and go "Whatchya got in there." After I blew them off, my friends and I got a huge kick out of it. My car has a decent paint job, his car has primer down both sides of the car from when he shaved the side moldings and a F.U.B.A.R'd carbon fiber hood.

Whats your car look like? Post a pic or two. I personally would do motor cause my car right now looks good. But if my car had dents and **** and bad paint, definatly make it look good, and go cruise with a nice lookin car.

Regarding thiefs, most of the JDM people (the ricers) drive good lookin cars, where its the sleepers that get jacked cause they have the money for expensive motors.

Get a nice lookin car, and rev the hell outta the motor, its more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow. Function over fashion? expletive that, I live in Atlanta. Bling, bitches.

Sleepers suck.

Agreed. I live in the ATL too and I got my bling first. I'm not saying that having a really fast car is bad but there's no way I'm gonna drive around in a primered car or a car that's 5 different colors just because it's fast. And just to throw it in, I'm trying to turbo my car so buy my stuff and give me some deals on turbo parts
