would you buy lowering springs for your hatchback or would order them for a integra because your going to be doing a swap in about 4 months. What i was wondering is the spring rating. Would it need to be more for the new motor or would it even matter?

Buying springs for a Teg will make your Civic sit higher, but be stiffer.
It's a toss up. Personally, I'd go for Civic springs.

You're only stepping up to a 1.8. Continue to use civic springs. KYB or Koni adjustables will be your best friend. You can also go for the full coilover setup. Skunk2 and Apexi are some really good coilovers. You have your options. When you decide to step up to a 2.2 then you should think about changing.

I'd go with the Civic springs. The weight of the b-series is no enough to make that much of a difference. It's kinda like the difference between letting my wife ride or my mother-in-law or about 80lbs

I'd go with the Integra springs and get a lower drop than you really want.
Teg rates are stiffer and they IMO are better for handling when used with new struts.
Struts are a definate IMO if you're going to run stiffer springs.
...but most lowering springs aren't stiffer so they really offer no better performance except for a lowered center of gravity. The stiff springs make the car more nimble when used with stiffer struts.

okay thanks for the replies, I'm going to order the civic. It will be the b18c5 swap. Since you get more for spending 1500.00 dollars more. Tom made a really good point about the b18c1 and the b18c5 swaps.
