I would get some A/C cause ur girl making it HOT HOT HOT. lol j/k
If its your only ride i would got ls/v but, if you got a side car i save up a lil more and go turbo.

Haha. here's the link to the building the reliable LSvtec/B20vtec if you still haven't found it.
Hah, if you can't decide on boosting or vtec-ing it. I'd say Vtec it then boost it later . You can't go wrong with that.

Re: What would you do with 2gs and my car?
The power per dollar of a turbo setup far outweighs an LS/VTEC. I suggest reading through the Forced Induction forum, specifically the FAQ, and get some ideas together. There is a Turbo LS thread floating around somewhere. Its about 100 pages long and will give you more than enough ideas for setups, from mild to wild and cheap to all-out. Your $2,000 will be about enough for a decent budget setup. Its not going to buy you all brand new parts, but theres nothing wrong with getting your hands dirty on a used kit for the first time.
On your stock LS, putting down 300whp in stock form on pump gas isn't even an issue. As long as you tune it correctly and maintain everything, you should have a pretty clean, and fast, hatch. After the turbo setup is on and running properly, you can save up for that VTEC head swap...it'll require a retune, but will be a nice little power-adder down the line. If you have any questions, the guys in FI are pretty helpful and can answer pretty much anything...Good luck
