What would this be worth realistically?

What would this be worth realistically?
Before I start ordering parts I want to know what would do you think it would be worth on average. I plan to document the whole rebuilt with pics and receipts.
94 White Civic CX with 150K miles on body. No rust, no dents
96 b18c1 with almost 0 miles on new rebuilt block with
New ITR pistons
New ITR rods
New oil pump
New oil seals
New water pump
New Main bearings, New rod bearings, New thrust washers
Of course new o-rings and gaskets
Crank polished and grinded
98 GSR head with 48K miles on it
GS-R trasmission with no grinds
Chipped P28
The rest of the car would be stock... 100%

why does the body only have 150 miles? Regardless of mileage, if it has been out in the weather it's still an old body.
I've really never seen such a thing so I have no basis for my estimate, I'd say 7-8k?

strange........
Car can sell for $3000 easy....
GS-R tranny for $600 easy
GS-R shortblock complete $600 easy
GS-R head complete $600 easy
all mounts, axles $200 way easy
linkage $100 easy
harness obd2 $50 easy
ECU $200
_____________
$6350!!!!
And that's without
the new parts I mentioned which will run me an easy $800-$1000 or even more..
What is the lesson to be learned from all of this?

How come labor/installation is never accounted for?
It doesn't make sense to me.
I think the lesson to be learned is this:
Buy from Honda-tech people, sell to local ricers

Because a lot of people do the work themselves.

Yes but shops wil charge $500-$1000 to install a swap.
basically, I think that when you have a $3000 car and $3000 parts, combined together it should be $7000 not $5000.

I agree, but unfortunitely it's not being realistic.
If you want to make some cash, put that money into the stock market. Cars (in most cases) are not a good "investment".

Re: (JV)
you never get back what you paid for it. never . you can invest like $10k but you would be lucky to get back like $6,500 or $7000. so cars are never a good investment, there are very few cars that go up in valve and a cx with 150k miles is not one of them
plus i dont think that a cx with that many miles will even get $3000
and dont part out the engine, you will get more money selling it as a swap or long block

Come on now, you know that a clean CX can get $3500 easy. :I already had 2 chances to sell it for that much, but I haven't found anything to teplace it with... not till today So I am considering getting rid of everything if my deal goes through...

Trust me, you can get that much, or close to it, for a decent stock CX.
In some parts of the country there are little to no decent hatches.
Also, people are getting wise to what others are looking to use these cars for, so they are setting and getting these (IMO) rediculous prices.
It's all about supply and demand.

Re: (JV)
i got my stock '94 CX for $2600, with 130,000 miles on it, so you can definately get them for less than that, depends on where you are located, cars can have higher values in some places and lower values in others..
