jack it up and pull the bolt on the lower control arm. mine were siezed in really tight and im ending up cutting the bottom of the shock off. its a pain. then just take the allen key and a wrench and loosen up the top bolt and it pops off

I have to recommend loosening the top nut first as you do run the risk of the shock popping off and possibly damaging something/someone.

Ideally you would use spring compressors and air tools, and have the shock/spring assembly off the car before doing this. But you said easiest.

The top of the shock assembly has to be accessed from inside the car.

Ok. the thing is that right now the ride sits on skunk2 coilovers and stock struts.

When i changed my front struts, I jack up the car, and the skunk2 coilover spring is loose, i can move it up and down... is that normal? Of course when i set the ride down it becomes stiff, but if i was to take the entire part of i wouldn't need to use spring compressors in order to disassemble the set, do you get me?
