Default what would cause my coolant line to split in half?

so today my car was stuck in the snow and i was steping on it in reverse for like 20 mins i finaily get out and i notice some coolant in the snow. So i pop the hood and notice steam pooring out of the ruber hose, it was on that went to the back of the head to the block oin my jdm b16a, i limped the car today my dads and it started geting hot so i pulled over and let it cool then made it there. less then a mile. What would cause the coolant line to just split like that?

No. Unless the ECU is messed with, you must have 2 things present for VTEC to engage: Proper oil pressure and positive speed registering on the speedometer. I can't remember the exact speed required, but i can tell you that registered speed is a must. You can test this yourself by disconnecting the VSS...when no speed registers, no VTEC fun-times will be had

What is positive speed? It doesn't matter which way you are going, the speedometer will always say how fast you are going either forward or reverse. So yes, VTEC will engage forward or reverse.
