Sorry to post another topic like this but I'm just wondering what you guys think my car is worth right now. I can't decide whether to keep it or not. Here's the stats:

1997 DX hatchback (VSM)
130,000 miles
A/C no power steering
99 SI front and rear brakes and swaybars
99 SI MC/Booster/Prop. Valve
AEM pads on front
Very clean interior
Clean title
Motor has new belts and O2 sensor. Runs and drives great. No tranny problems.
If sold will also include SI bumper with lip, headlights, grill, and fenders.


The body has some dents in it, half of which would be replaced with the SI front end. It's a really great car for anybody wanting to build an EK. Especially since I already did a brake and minor suspension upgrade. I have pictures but I can't seem to upload them to imagestation.

Let me know what you guys think it's worth.

I know what the book value is....If I sell it, it'll be to someone who knows the value of what little I have done to it. EK's in this area are hard to find anyway.

i know some1 who is trying to sell a 98 civic dx with a Si front end, 90K on the engine, and a brand new cat back exhaust.. asking $2700..

much to appreciation of personal upgrades and u should try to retreive some of the expence uve put into it..

from a buyer s stand point though..those upgrades may be meaningless..and for those purchasing a car for swap purpose s ..it d be a straight frame..no rust..good body with no major work need d..meaning no panel s to replace

as a buyer id be looking for something below $1500

That's crazy...either that car has got something seriously wrong with it, like a salvage title, or he's *ucked in the head.

Most EK's I've seen sell between 4500-7k for 96-98 and over 7k for 99-00. I would be asking way less to begin with. Mainly because of the mileage. That's why it's a great candidate for a swap-A car that's in good shape, with a high mileage motor that would be coming out anyway.
