Default what will it take

Hey guys just looking for some opinions i found a 94 ls teg auto im getting a deal for the motor but i gotta find a tranny the motor is obd1 i beleive but my car is obd2 what will it take to complete this swap?

All you have to do is get the right ecu and a conversion harness.

It's very simple. No worries.

There wont be any issues with obd swapping the transmissions either.

ok thanks i figured this swap would be fairly easier then a gsr considering i dont have to tap in for the v-tec but this motor being put in a ek hatch what kind of out come can i look to see for in performence wise

You'll notice it's more fun to drive around town than it's vtec brothers because of it's cam profile. It's got more torque at lower rpms.

Good motor IMO, very capable for our needs.

now that good to hear seeing its not the first time someone has told me that but in your opinion what would the the best tranny for it i was thinking of going with a b16 with lsd

thats what i would do, or a GSR with LSD, something with LSD would be nice

Itr, b16, gsr

Will all be a big improvement over the ls tranny.

IMO, if you have the money, get an ITR tranny.

Slightly better gearing and oem lsd.

by the time you buy and install an LSD into a b16 you have a good condition ITR tranny.

if you don't like super short gears, get a gsr tranny.

i have a b16 tranny and im cruising on the interstate at like 5 thousand RPM's or close to it....i get the same gas mileage in the city as on the highway
