Default What is the VTEC pressure switch dependant on to engage??

My TPS sensor is just a little off and it is throwing a code 7 and my vtec pressure switch ONLY is throwing a code also. I have a D16z6 in my hatchie...P28 ecu. Could it be totally separate or are they linked....I ask now because I would like to know as much as possible BEFORE I go freeze my *** off outside trying to trouble shoot it.

Proper Oil Pressure, the car has to be warm and you have to have a certian imput from the TPS. I don't have no VTEC so I can't help you out anymore.

Pretty much, sorry man. I don't know how to test it before turning the car on.

You have to turn the car on to test it....and all my friends are "unavailable"...it will be a long and bitchy test session.
