what tranny would best suit to save gas on my 00 si?
would a dz or dy tranny be a good choice?
please put some suggestion to save more gas. i like the b16 but not the tranny. thanks.

i agree, you dont want to throw in a LS tranny into your b16 trust me. if your putting up that much money into a tranny might as well get the LS 5th gear and call it a day...

you'll get worse gas mileage w/the ls tranny, unless you travel 90% highway miles daily.
just by swapping from a cable ls to a cable b16 tranny on my old piece of absolute **** LS, i went from about 27-29 average mpg to 34-36 average mpg, about 50% on the highway at ~75mph (~4200 rpm).
w/the ls tranny, that torqueless b16 is going to be working waaayyyyy too hard. just start driving about 1/3 throttle shifting at 3k and you'll get better mileage. when i first got my b16 coupe, i couldnt get over 27mpg. but now that i drive like i said, i get 32-33mpg, w/about 30-40% hwy miles.
