Default what tools to do alignment

my friends and i are going to try doing our alignment next week with the string.
What size wrench do we need to undo the nut on the tie rod?
also, do we just turn the tie rod to make changes?

its probably like a 16 or 17 to loosen the nut then u can use a pair of vise grips clamp them on the tie rod socket ( the end were it is threaded) and turn it or out of the tie rod end to make the adjustment

om the rear its a 17 mil to loosen and a 14 mil to adjust. on the front its a 19 mil to loosen the locknut, and use an open end 14 mil to adjust, NO VICE GRIPS!!!!!!!!! also remember that unless you have a camber kit, the only adjustment is toe. good luck

yes in the front, loosen and thread the tie rod.

in the rear... loosen the nut (i don't know what size, we use adjustable wrenches) in front of the trailing arm, and pry the trailing arm either in or out (depending on weather you have toe in or out, obviously) with a crow bar of some sort.

half the time i get mine done at 40+ bucks, its still not straight. They're charging like 70 bucks no a days, plus, i dont intend on spending that much if i gotta keep changing my alignment. and lifetime alignments have a limit on the amount you can do per year...so...thats not gonna work for me =/
