I'm still running stocks w/ a set of Tech 5 coilovers. Had no problem w/ it for 5+ yrs now.
If you are going to spend the $$ a full coilover setup would be the way to go. Tein or a reputable company like that will warrant the est bang for your buck.
good luck... also dont forget to put on a front/rear camber kit. the Skunk2 front camber kit is nice...

Ive heard mixed feelings on the Skunk2 coilover kits. just like I have on ground control and drop zone etc. Just depends on the persons care and handling of the car also..
they aren;t to bad and if you are getting a deal on them go for it....

Yeah, I heard mixed reviews on them too. I am going to go with them though because I can get them real cheap. I also practice not trashing my car so they should be pretty good. I will combine them with AGX adjustable struts.

My Bros: on a 96 Coupe.
These are pretty good overall but they arent stiff enough IMO. But then again they are street dampers.
Mine: on a 94 hb
Best 1,000 dollars ive spent in my book. Stiff as fawk, but handles like a champ!

I'm running a set of omnipower street full coilovers. Perfect for my application, which is daily driving and occasional track time. Easy install, easily adjustable, and not to expensive.

Don't even worry about buying a camber kit. Just get an alignment after you get your car lowered.
This belongs in the suspension forum BTW.
